SCAM ALERT 🚨: My Experience with GlassesUSA's Deceptive 'Next-Day Delivery'
I'm writing this as a warning about my awful experience with GlassesUSA. They promise services they have no intention of providing and then hide behind automated systems to avoid accountability. My frustration reached a boiling point, and I feel others should know what they're getting into.
This place is nothing more than an automated business that cares nothing about its customers. They are a fraud, ripping customers off for services that they charge for and do NOT provide. I ordered twice from them before, without any need to return or exchange, so I never understood the negative reviews. The third time I ordered, their site said “eligible for next day delivery”. That would typically mean “next day”, right? So, I pay for the $19.95 next day delivery fee, pay for my glasses and hours later receive an email stating that “my order is in process and will take 3 business days”. After fighting through their endless phone menu, I finally reached a live agent to demand a refund for a service not rendered.
Customer: I paid $19.95 for next-day delivery. Your site said it was eligible, but now I get an email saying it takes 3 business days to process. I want my shipping fee refunded.
CS Rep: I understand your frustration. Our "next day delivery" applies to the shipping time after the standard 3-day production window for your lenses.
Customer: That is completely misleading. You charged me for a service you are not providing. My lenses are non-prescription. There's no "production." Refund the $19.95 immediately.
CS Rep: Sir, I cannot process the refund directly. I can submit your request to the billing department for their review, and they will make a decision.
Customer: A 'request'? This is unacceptable. It's a fraudulent charge for a service you failed to deliver. This is why your customer service has such a terrible reputation.
The reason I left this review on the website is to hopefully prevent others from falling into the same trap.
