I want to share a cautionary tale about my recent online shopping experience, which started great but ended in immense frustration. My hope is that by sharing this, others can avoid a similar headache. Initially, I was thrilled with my purchase, but it quickly became apparent there was a major problem. As I concluded in my original review, everything about working with GlassesUSA was great until the glasses defect surfaced. I paid for premium lenses including the $48 extra for the Super Hydrophobic coating. These lenses are nearly impossible to clean. After getting an unacceptable offer through their online chat, I felt I had no choice but to try again to get this defect addressed.
Customer: I'm following up on order #105180754. I was offered a 50% credit, but that's not acceptable. The premium "Super Hydrophobic" lenses I paid extra for are defective; they are constantly smudged and impossible to clean. This is a product defect, not a preference issue.
